Today I've finally finished the outer windows of the building for my map. I dreaded making them because they are almost all angled walls and the vertices worried me. But it turned out very well! The window frames really add so much to the map because the building is obviously very light dependant and having all the window frames in helps light bounce around all the classrooms which were, up until this point, dark and dingy. Now it's time to port it over to Source 2 and start texturing, adding props, adding doors and lights. I have one table model but I need a second one because they actually have two variants (I swear there was only the one hex desk). I'll probably just use normal office chairs for most of the computer desks, but there is a green and purple plastic office chair that was in the science area so I'll need to make a model for that. That chair is very weird in it's proportions and curves so it might take me a bit of time. For the meantime, I'll just add normal office chairs.
Me and Kira saw my dad today and he told me about his bikes getting stolen which is terrible. He has now put a significant amount of safety measures in place. He has made the shed into Fort Knox with two locks, a whole metal beam going across the doorway, also spikes, more locks, alarms, the lot! I'm glad he is getting compensated for thy bike. But that's not the point, it was his bike and it meant a lot to him. Regardless, I guess it's a lesson to learn that these things happen, unfortunately it had to be with something he really cared about.
Anyway, a good day poo! I actually pooed really lots today. TMI but fuck you :)
