Now, this bloated mess of an album. Where do I even start? Oh yeah, let's start with ambition because I clearly had way too much of it for this one. I'm surprised I actually got it to the size it is. All this album is is a whole load of demos that I made over the course of a month or two and I lumped them all into one "project". That's all I wanted was a long long album. Sure, I got a long long album, but was I actually proud of it? No, I was not. I was only proud of the length of the project, not the actual contents of the material.
Not much to say about this one, despite it being the longest project I've released EVER. I will go over some inspiration behind some of the songs though.
The "hi!" and "bye!" tracks were my first use of like the start and end of an album? Almost like you could listen to it front to back? No sane person would listen to this entire album front to back, but it's there I guess? It did actually teach me a lot about an album "as a whole" which I later used in more albums. Same goes for the "comprehension (interlude)" which I only started adding interludes because X added one.
The tracks FXCK and SHXT were heavily inspired by distorted XXXTENTACION tracks. They are terribly mastered and don't give off nearly the same punch as his instrumentals did. I think I even added his vocals over the song FXCK because I thought it was great. In retrospect, it was ugly and not nice to listen to.
"aesthetic wAves" was inspired by FrankJavCee as I quite liked vaporwave at the time, I thought it was a really cool niche sound. So, I made a long, boring and uninspired vaporwave song. A guy called Sam really liked it at my school though, so I guess it made someones day?
"Blastelarbeit Eins" and Blastelarbeit Zwei" were HEAVILY inspired by Kraftwerk, a German electronic band from the 70s. They were some of the first bands to actually use electronic synths and such in music and they revolutionised electronic music. I, however, appeared to mock their great works by basically adding a lot of modernisations such as reverb, delays and such to the style. It wasn't great, nor was it very imaginitive.
"GOPNIK 2" is... obviously in reference to my earlier projects.
And "is RAINING" is meant to be a rip off of the song Falling Down by Lil Peep and XXXTENTACION.
So, yeah. Uninspiring mess.
