Rainbow Blocker is, to my knowledge, the only game that is an actual half decent game that is available from this era. I was super proud of this game for the longest time imaginable.
The premise is that it's a platformer but you can place blocks by clicking anywhere on the screen. It's a simple enough premise and one that could actually stand on it's own two legs if the levels were different. Maybe if the levels were super open and long then it could be interesting.
Unfortunately, three out of the four levels in this game are linear and it almost feels like you're fighting the games glitchy platform movement rather than being fun. You can actually get yourself stuck in this game if you don't place blocks effectively. Also, there is no restart button! But due to this amateurish oversight, it makes block placing even more valuable and you have to think about it before you actually place them.
The last level is the most fun in my opinion. It's called "maze!" and is literally a bit of a maze. There are areas that lead nowhere and multiple exits too. So this level makes the most sense with a game like this where you might have to backtrack. But, if you beat level 4, it throws up the gamemaker error message and the game breaks because there is no level 5. So it's trying to load a level that doesn't exist!
I showed this game to my friends at the time and they liked it. I loved it, as I've said I was always very proud of this one. There are coins you can collect but they don't do anything. I'm pretty sure they just destroy on contact and create a rainbow fog effect.
Last thing about this game is the music. I featured an absolutely killer track called "Hell Above Water" by Curve. I have no idea how I got that song. I presume it was already on the computer after my mom might have put it on? Or I downloaded it from some website. Believe me, I likely had no clue who Curve were so I probably would have just downloaded a random song from some free music website.
