Very snowy and icy today. I left my house at about 8:30 AM and didn't get to work until 9:20 AM. Someone at work had someone go into the back of them on a roundabout, but the damage seems alright. Then someone's husband had their car written off this morning due to a sloped icy road. The front fender was gone and it didn't look good, even the side door was scraped. So, looks like I'll be getting the metro and bus tomorrow when I go to see Kira.
The mapping project is going great, but I need to plan out how I'm gonna approach what I work on next. Some vital things I need to get down. The positioning of some pillars, the finishing of the scaffolding (specifically at the front area) and the windows that go all the way around the building. That's a big job, it requires manually adjusting the size of windows for each room. I actually also need to just add the remaining few damn rooms. I haven't done this for the art area or the left first floor because there are no reference images online and I do not remember the layout of the rooms very well. I have only one picture of a room which will help me gauge the shape of others. The art area I have literally nothing, though I vaguely remember how it is laid out.
I just found one photo of the art room, but it's not super helpful. it does remind me how large the desks are though. Jesus it is so damn cold today. 5 degrees but feels like -3, you're damn right it does.
So, plan for tonight. I will wall off the remaining few rooms on the first floor, then I will attempt to wall off the rest of the rooms on the ground floor. I will leave the ground floor to last because I remember almost never using those rooms aside from the music room. It's very vague to me and there are some rooms I almost never went in. I also never really walked past them on the ground floor or looked inside. I will also aim to add more scaffolding to the front area where needed. I also will try to add the huge roof window to the front area and the two smaller ones that are missing at each side. I've got to say that the roof isn't perfect, but it's pretty good considering the weird shape of the building. Yeah, it's a bit bumpy in some places, but the scaffolding hides most of it and I can easily move vertices if I want to fine tune it.
Wall off remaining unfinished rooms
Add front scaffolding
Add remaining roof windows
And that's the plan. I would love to try and model more props and stuff like that, but I need to try and stay on track working on relevant parts first. If I get ahead of myself I'll likely end up focusing too much time on irrelevant areas or areas that only make sense after the project is done.
