Did a fair bit of stuff today. I wrote more citations on my book and I made a TikTok video yesterday showcasing track 5 for my upcoming album. Also, yesterday, I managed to get all Valhalla plugins which will hopefully be better than using the stock Fruity Reverb 2 plugin that I've been using for the past 8 years at this point. I also found an amazing plugin called PitchMap. This is an effect that aligns whatever is going through that channel to chords. So you could literally turn random sounds into actual melodic chords which is amazing! It means I can make complex sounds without any melodic meaning and use PitchMap to turn it into a usable instrument.
I am also sitting on a case with Roblox. I'm on the verge of suing them if they do not re-imburse my account. The situation is as follows:
My account got compromised on the 30th August and the hacker stole £120 from my credit card.
I realised on the 3rd September what happened and promptly contacted both Roblox and Lloyds.
Lloyds gave me my funds back within a few days. Roblox continued to look into it.
On the 19th September, Roblox banned my account for chargeback.
I then replied to the original ticket giving proof that I'm in talks with Lloyds about opening a fraud case.
Roblox originally replied saying that nothing can be done anyway. So I cited the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and they said they'll pass it to a supervisor.
Yes, in sections 34 to 36 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, it states that digital goods must be handled with reasonable care and fairness. In this instance, through a fraud case (which I am yet to have confirmation from Lloyds, but I will because it was not authorised by me and I have IP proof), Roblox have not handled this with reasonable care. As soon as I can verify with my bank that this was legitimate fraud, Roblox have no ground to stand on.
So that's the situation. It's been stressing me out and I just have to wait, there's nothing I can do other than wait for both parties to conclude their investigations. I am hoping that Roblox will just fix this between us, but if not then I'll have to contact the CMA, file a report on the BBB and possibly takes this to Small Claims Court because I'm not having my account that I've put a significant amount of money into just be removed like that through no fault of my own.
