13:06 PM, I go to my high school in one hour for the last time before it is closed permanently. I am scared, definitely, but I am ready. If I don't go then I know that will be far worse than going because I will have missed out my only opportunity to actually document the building. 9 months ago I made a map of the building in CS2, but the details and proportions were not fully there because I was only going off of reference photos online. Now, I will have the chance to fully archive the interior, provided that they haven't made drastic changes to the interior. I did try to ring the school twice at the office, but both times went to voicemail. The post did say to just pop along so I'm confident I can just show up. I'll bring ID and everything. I hope to get lots of photos of the interior, including areas where I had no photo references. I also hope to record videos too. This is big man! It's a place that really matters to me and it's my only opportunity to do this, I won't get another chance. I wish future me luck.
14:44 PM, well that was single handily the worst celebration event in the history of anything I've ever experienced. I parked up in the car park, the same parking spot my mom would drop me off at. I looked at the school and literally shed a tear. As I walked up to the school, it was crazy, insane, it felt amazing. I walked in and just looked up and around, struggling to catch my breath because this was just the start, this was just the front hall area.
I talked to my teacher who taught me Media Studies. She asked briefly what I was up to, and I then asked if there were any restrictions. She said "Yes, only this first hall area you can be in."
I don't think I've broke character in this diary until now. By that I mean I haven't used many informal writing choices. But WHAT TEH FUCK BRO THAT IS SO STUPID????????!?!?!!!!! Like bro seriously that is just so fuckings stupid man, you HAD TO STAY IN THE SMALL OPEN HALL???? DESPITE THE FACT THAT 99% OF THE SCHOOL IS ON THE FIRST AND SESCOND FLOOR??? I am genuinely just amazed at how poor that is. They said that there are "things being moved" on the first and second floor, and they actually blocked off the rest of the school with large boards. I asked her again saying that I was really hoping to get photos of the interior before it was destroyed. She just said "Sorry, it's only this open area. Thank you." and that was it. I was in disbelief, honestly. Yeah, nothing SCREAMS "CELEBRATE THIS SCHOOL! BUT ONLY IN THE SMALL TINY OPEN AREA AT THE FRONT!!!" LIKE YEAH THATS A REAL CELEBRATION THAT IS!! Everyone who attended that has literally ZERO MEMORY OF THE FRONT OPEN HALL! NOTHING EVER HAPPENED THERE! IT WAS LITERALLY JUST A TRAVEL ZONE! YOU HAD ONLY A HANDFUL OF PEOPLE WHO WOULD EAT THEIR LUNCH THERE! LIKE BRO>?!?!??!?!?O43QOP43OPJKOP3434KOPW
Just for FUCKING REFERENCE, this is the ground floor. I have highlighted in red where you could fucking go. Like seriously?? Actually, you MIGHT have been able to go to the cafeteria. I literally didnt even get that far because I was amazed that you couldn't go where 99% of the actual traffic in school was.
Here are the first and second floors. You will quite plainly see that basically the ENTIRE SCHOOL IS ON THESE TWO FLOORS! English, maths, science, IT, art, business, PE, media studies, french, literally everything is on these two floors. So why the FUCK was this not planned to let people walk here?? It genuinely amazes me.
