I'm trying to get my Halloween outfit sorted for the 31st. Last year I went as Book Simon from Cry of Fear and it was really good. I remember no one recognised who I was until the very end of the night where we were waiting outside for our taxi to come. Then, out of nowhere, some guy came up and said "Is that you Simon?!" and I jumped with so much joy that someone finally recognised who I was! But this year I'm going as Postal dude. Specifically from the second game, I think it's just as niche honestly so I doubt anyone will know who I am.
I've ordered a smiley yellow pin, orange temporary hair dye, some cool wrap around shades (that I might actually use for driving when its sunny), fake blood and a clip board. The clip board is important because one of the tasks you do is have people sign a petition. It's a petition "to make whiney congressmen play violent video games". I'm gonna keep it as faithful as possible and hopefully I can ask people for signatures, not that anyone will likely get the reference but I'm gonna do it anyway. I'll make an exact copy of the paper used in the game and print it out at work. I even got a near identical clipboard with the large metal clip at the top, staying faithful to the original. I'm getting Kira to make me an alien t-shirt and I'm just gonna wear some regular baggy pants and New rocks for the lower half.
Last is the trench coat. I need a long one, and I'm looking on Vinted for one that will hopefully arrive before the day comes. Once I get one, it is sorted! It is a bit more effort than the previous costume I did. The last one I did I just needed a custom hoodie, a side bag and blood. I will be adding blood to my face this year too, but it will likely just be down one side a little bit, not all over my face like Book Simon was.
