Had a big issue today with my Godot game. I booted it up, hoping to try and add some guns to my game, and I added a new section to my Trenchbroom map. Oh, by the way, I got the whole Trenchbroom thing working, it is great. Well, it was great. For some reason, I've fucked up collisions and my player just falls straight through it. It literally has collisions and it was working completely fine yesterday! I have no clue why. I tried troubleshooting it but I just don't have the experience to be able to do it properly or efficiently. So, I just kicked that idea now. The gun adding seemed quite straight forward too, just a couple lines of code since GDScript is very simple and beginner friendly.
I haven't done much today, only spending time with my girlfriend. We went out today to try and find some black t-shirts in some charity shops but we couldn't find any. I want her to print me some t-shirts. We went into cashies and I didn't see any new games. I was gonna see if I could get a Midi keyboard but the cheapest one was £99.99 so I didn't bother. I just picked up Saints Row 2 on the PS3 since its pretty good and didn't want to leave empty handed. For some reason, they have the PS2 games behind a cabinet. I know the one in Gateshead has, firstly, far more PS2 games and secondly it doesn't lock them behind a cabinet. So, not sure what's going on there. It's not like they're rare games at all. There were some very common games like FIFA and stuff. Speaking of games, I don't know what reminded me of it but Leisure Suit Larry. I got reminded of it and I might have to pick them up on the PS3 and PS2.
These games do have a lot of adult themes in it, but the reason I want the games is because they were notoriously bad. Games like Bubsy 3D for the PS1, it's so bad that it's well known, that kind of thing. Also they aren't even expensive which is what confused me. Normally notoriously terrible games are quite expensive, though Bubsy 3D wasn't. Critics at the time said that the comedy was borderline non-existent and that the game was just innuendo joke after innuendo joke. I always forget that there was a market for these kind of games that were comedic but also graphic, like Lollipop Chainsaw which is like £30-40. That's a great game and quite a funny one too. Well, it's not brilliant, but it's relatively fun for what it is.
Anyway, the t-shirts. I've just basically ripped off Ville's merch for Psycho Patrol R and Cruelty Squad. Now, I know this is technically plagiarism, but I really cannot afford his merch. I probably could if I only saved up for it, but they are like 50 euros PER t-shirt. That's expensive for me now. I wouldn't mind if they were like 25 or 30 euros, but 50 per t-shirt is steep. So, I'm just gonna have to have them printed for me. I spent an hour just remaking the designs, getting the right fonts and even using AI to fill in the gaps on some images that aren't online currently. The .pngs turned out very nice so I'm happy with it.
