Well, the Halloween night out was a bit of a let-down honestly. I'll give you the rundown. So, we were meant to go for pres at this house at 7 PM. At around 4 PM we found out that we couldn't go because there was too many people apparently. So, we didn't go to the house for pres. We got into town for about 8 PM, we were meant to be meeting everyone at 9 PM. We waited until literally 11 PM until they arrived which was so stupid. While we were waiting we just went between two bars, had a few drinks each and then just sat down on the floor and chatted. Kira wasn't happy, but I was just trying to lighten the mood up a bit, saying that at least it's not raining or windy or cold. But yes, it was annoying waiting about. But once everyone got together, it was really nice seeing everyone, it was a good vibe all around. We went to NQ64 and found a booth to sit in. Well, we crammed in! Me going as Postal dude, I got quite a few signatures from everyone we went with which was great. Unfortunately, I lost the clipboard in NQ64 which suchs, but I don't really know what I would've done with it once I got home? So I guess it isn't that bad.
But yes, we left at around 12:30 AM to look for more places. We went to Xerox which was on the Quay side and it was completely full. So, we left there about 30 minutes later. Then we went to walk past Four Quarters which is another arcade bar. That was shut. So then I suggested we go to Spotwhite which is a chill bar on Chinatown street. We got there, had to sign up for some BS, then we went up and they said it was dead and they didn't wanna be there! So, at about 2:30 AM, we just resorted to standing outside of Spotwhite trying to figure out what to do. We were talking about finding another bar, but that idea faded. Then I suggested me and a few others go to my house, but then one of then didn't want to. Then we just came to the conclusion that we should all go home. I was just sat on the floor with Kira just dissapointed really. I had a total of 3 single drinks with the group and it sucked. I'm glad I saw a few people that I hadn't seen in ages though, as well as meet a few cool guys. Me and Kira got home, wrapped everything up, made a sandwich and went to bed at about 4 AM.
Then, something awful happened. I woke up at 6:30 AM and my stomach was cramping and hurting. I got up quickly, went to the toilet, nothing came out. I drank some water to see if I just needed to burp. I did burp, but it didn't help much. I then just sat downstairs because I was shivering a little. I put the heating on quickly. Then I went upstairs and sat in bed, hoping that whatever it was would subside. It did not subside at all. It felt like it was getting worse. I shook Kira awake, telling her I was in pain and a bit scared. I kept asking her to reassure me that everything will be okay. It helped a tiny bit, but it was still there, cramping in pain. Kira put her head in my arms and that actually genuinely helped so much. I don't know why, but her head in my arms just made the pain disappear. But only for a minute or two. I was shaking a lot at this point, visibly shaking and I didn't even know if I was shaking because it was painful, me being cold, or because it reminded me of one specific time in my life. That one time was October 6th 2023.
That day I was just getting to know Kira and I ate McDonalds after not eating all day. Long story short, my stomach did not like the fact that I was vaping all the time on an empty stomach and then eating very fatty food. It resulted in serious cramping and pain in my stomach and abdomen. I went to the hospital the next day for it and it scared me so much.
Back to the present, I started to feel acid creep up my throat. I begged that I wasn't going to be sick. I hate throwing up so much. I searched it up on ChatGPT and it suggested that my stomach was producing too much acid. So, I remembered Kira bought me Gaviscon tablets specifically for that time in October 2023. It was in the spare bedroom. I asked her quickly to go grab it and she did. Rummaging through the spare bedroom, I rocked back and forth, praying that the pain would ease and praying that she would somehow find them. She did find them, thank god. I immediately necked a tablet, and after searching them up realised I could have two tablets, so I necked a second one. My throat immediately soothed from the stinging sensation. After sipping water and seriously shaking for the past hour, it finally started to subside a little bit to the point where the pain was still there but it was manageable. I stopped shaking, put my head on the pillow and tried to get some sleep.
The next morning, I did feel a lot better, though still not great. The stomach issue was mostly gone, I was just dealing with a mild hangover of sorts. It was very scary feeling that again after not feeling it for nearly 2 years of my life. I never want to go back to feeling like that ever again.
On a positive note, I bought a knife today! I know, the price of knives on CS is very volatile and strange with the introduction of covert trade ups, but I wanted to buy it based on a few factors. It's a very old knife skin from old cases, so the skins in those cases will likely appreciate. Also, it's a nice looking skin. The fade is a classic. I know it's not on the best of knives (a gut knife) but I still think the gut knife has it's charms. It's classic, has a nice equip animation, and it has a big blade to show off the skin compared to something like the navaja or the stiletto. I bought it for £140. It averaged at about £210 before the update, and I did see an offer a few days ago for £110 but I unfortunately didn't take it. Nevertheless, it's a good float (0.02 float) and a decent fade (92.0 fade) so I reckon it will go at least a little bit up. I doubt it will drop much. Even if it does drop, it will only by a little (maybe to £120 or £100 at a push). But still, I always wanted a knife that I liked, and I always loved the gut knife even back in 2015. Having a fade knife feels surreal, I would've never thought of owning one back in the day.
